                                                                                 Welcome to Pagosa Springs, Colorado!

When you envision a life in Colorado you probably imagine having a sweeping view of the rugged Rocky Mountains, open meadows full of glorious wildflowers, forests filled with tall Pines and towering Aspens, and a charming town populated by friendly people, all seeking the same paradise you envision. If so - then there is no reason to look any further than Pagosa Springs! We have it all and more.

If winter fun is a priority on your list you will fall in love with Wolf Creek Ski Area (the “most snow in Colorado”) located about 20 miles east of Pagosa. We also have numerous outfitting companies for the outdoor enthusiast. If golf is more your pleasure then you will enjoy our 27-hole championship golf course. And, of course, one of Pagosa’s most popular attractions is our natural hot spring pools, which incidentally is where Pagosa gets its name: The Southern Ute tribe called this area “Pagosah” which means “healing waters”.

Pagosa is located in the southernmost part of Colorado, at an altitude of about 7,100 ft. Our location provides us with more sunny days and less harsh winter months than most other mountain communities.

Let me help you open the door to your Colorado dream! Call today and let’s get started.

TOM'S BIO:

Like many of the residents of Pagosa Springs, I was born and raised in California. After moving from Compton and bouncing around the Long Beach-Orange County area my family and I finally settled in the quiet retirement town of Hemet, located in Riverside County and nestled in a magnificent valley at the base of the San Bernardino National Forest. California has a large number of opportunities and an equally vast number of beautiful places to share with its now overflowing number of residents, I find that many of the peaceful charms I enjoyed as a schoolboy and young man are disappearing into the never-ending abyss of corporate greed and expansion; the ever-bulging cities and apparent dumbing-down of what was once a superior school system. So, after spending a few years as a field medic in Uncle Sam’s army and putting a few more years into maturity, I decided it was time to make some changes.

My family had slowly been disappearing to a place called Pagosa Springs. So, in early 1999 I decided it was time to pay my lost parents, brother, sisters, nieces, and grandmother a visit to see why they never returned to our California homeland. Upon arriving in early spring to this enchanted setting I understood how one could get lost in the beauty and peacefulness of Pagosa. It reminds me of how life used to be, and should be, for those of us who do not require the hustle and commotion of the big city life; those of us who still seek a better way of life for ourselves and children, that the inspiring beauty and serendipitous environment of what mother nature has created for all to truly enjoy, still exist in this very special place. If you are reading this, then you have had your eyes opened to the possibility of finding your own rekindled memories of what was and what can be again.

After a few months in the area, I managed a stroke of luck and joined a local real estate company as an assistant. The tremendous value of working with a busy real estate office in Pagosa, with some of the most experienced and knowledgeable agents in the business soon paid off as I was able to complete my own real estate training and acquire my license. After years of training and gaining knowledge, I made the switch over to Coldwell Banker. I have valuable skills and am confident in my abilities as an agent. I would welcome the opportunity to help your family find whatever it is you are looking for in our area.
